Apply for Your NM Real Estate License

This is step one — you can't practice until your license is issued.

Create your RLD portal accountGo to nmrldlpi.my.site.com and create an account with your personal info. Follow the steps below:

Go to rld.nm.gov and click "Apply for a License"

Complete the RLD Self Registration form with your personal info

Once logged in, click Applications → Apply for a License

Select "Boards and Commissions Division"

Select "Associate Broker" and click Select
Enroll in E&O InsuranceRequired before you can transact. Go to enroll.risceo.com, select Simply Real Estate, and email your certificate to Carrie.
Start the license applicationSelect "Real Estate Salesperson" and complete all fields, including background disclosure questions.
Upload your documentsUpload your course completion certificate and exam score report. Include any background support documents if applicable.
Wait for NMREC approvalYou'll get an email when your license is issued. Do not practice until you have your license number.

New Mexico Real Estate Commission Universal Form

This form must be completed and submitted with an online application for an initial application, renewal, license status change, transferring to a new brokerage/Qualifying Broker, or creating new or changes to the current brokerage (trade name) occurs. Fee will be collected online in NM-Plus. Please check below to show the reason you are completing this Universal Form:

🤝 Mentor Fee — First 3 Transactions

A 10% mentor fee applies to your first 3 transactions. This connects you with an experienced Simply agent who will guide you through your first closings. After 3 transactions, the mentor fee goes away.

After 1 Year You'll move to the Standard Plan: $100/mo, $500 cap fee, $5,000 annual cap. Same $200 Simply transaction fee.
